Krapow is a bit of an experiment.
Kimberley and I, Kevin, spent much of our lives living in Southeast Asia feasting on amazing cuisine with unforgettable flavours. When we decided to move back to Montreal, we wanted to share some of our favourite dishes with Montrealers.
Krapow, which means “basil” in Thai, brings you the bold flavours from the streets of Bangkok, the highlands of Malaysia, the islands of Indonesia, and the hawker stalls of Singapore.
The menu will always be limited to our favourite items, but we’ll also introduce a weekly menu item and different dishes to try. Everything will be served either in a bowl with our coconut lemongrass rice, or in a sandwich on a toasted brioche bun (at least for now).
But like we said, Krapow is a bit of an experiment and will always be evolving. We need your feedback to know what works and what you’d like to try. But no Pad Thai. Sorry.
Hopefully, together we’ll be able to create something that you’ll love that is both authentically Asian and distinctively Montreal.
Ma kin kan and selamat makan!
Kimberley and Kevin
